Where's the Money, Honey?

"Where's the money, Honey?"
Is what you've got to ask
Before you even sit down
And start another task

Don't say "Maybe, Baby!"
'cos being vague's no good
you need to know if you want to grow
and get out of the wood

You can dare if you're aware
to spread your wings and fly
but take care of the small stuff
or your plans will crash and die

So being specific's terrific
right down to the very last coin
you can tell when a job's done well
'cos others will want to join

So ask: "Where's the money, Honey?"
'Cos if you can find a way
to get paid for what you love doing
you can do it every day.

This poem was inspired by the usual comment from my mentor, Roger Lowrey, every time I come up with another good idea! "WHERE'S THE MONEY IN IT?!"
